Resources & ArticlesBeauty isn't just skin deepGood health shows on the outside! Think
of all the people you know who eat nutritious and healthy
food, exercise several days a week and work to have balance
in their lives. Then think of how they appear to
you. Good health is a balancing act. Balancing what you eat with your activity and doing things that are good for the mind and soul results in good health. It's only when we let ourselves overdo any one of these that we have poor results. So, the adage “moderation in everything” is true. But often we need help to maintain our good health. Through hundreds of years of farming we have depleted our soil of nutrients we need to feel healthy and energized. Air pollution and stress have added to the wear and tear on health. Many doctors are now recommending supplemental vitamins for maintenance of health and skin renewal. In an online dictionary produced by Aubrey Organics, the extract of pine tree leaves is mentioned as a health ingredient for skin. They suggest “Combined with hops, rosemary and horsetail, it makes an excellent cell therapy moisturizer.” Pine needle oil has been documented for hundreds of years in Asia and Europe. In fact, it used to be that sailors used it to prevent scurvy. It's positive benefits have been described by scientist for over 170 different health issues. As an ingredient in skin products, it repairs damaged skin and testimonials indicate it has removed age spots and small skin cancers on some users. Skin not only looks softer but feels dramatically different through daily use. Pine (Pinus sylvestris) was first researched by Hypocrites, the father of Western medicine, for its benefits to the respiratory system. Dr. Penoel and Dr. Frachomme described pine oil's antiseptic properties in their medical textbook written in 1990. Health researchers in the US and abroad have reported results on people who have arthritis, sinus problems and stomach ailments. In fact, pine needle oil is used in cough medicines. Old Southern home remedies for alleviating growing pains in legs feature pine needle oil applied topically in the area of the pain. Pine needle oil works naturally, over time. It appears that pine needle oil slowly wears away the plaques and fats that are deposited in the body and improves the circulation so that the user, after several weeks begins to feel renewed and more energetic. It also repairs and rejuvenates skin. Not just any pine needle oil can be used for health and beauty purposes, though. There are different grades of pine needle oil. Some pine oil is industrial grade, as in the kind you use to clean floors and sinks. Our recommended products are food grade and have passed FDA inspection for toxicity and skin sensitivity. Generally most people adapt well to food grade pine oil. Naturally, pregnant women should stay away from any potent herbal or chemical products, including pine needle oil. One manufacturer learned that, by adding pine needle oil to soap and shampoos, his customers were able to renew the skin. Chloraphyll, found in pine needle oil repairs damaged skin. Combined with the anti-bacterial effect, it cleans skin thoroughly and causes a healthy glow. It's been known to even alleviate fine lines and remove warts and small skin growths. The most interesting aspect is the moisturizing effect. Healthy skin looks dewy. If you set out a bar of pine soap, you will note at times small beads of moisture accumulate on the bar. This is much like the effect on skin. Skin that radiates with good health is skin that looks soft and moisturized. It looks “fresh scrubbed”. Many women with great skin don't even wear makeup. Why hide your natural beauty? Ignoring your skin over years can result in damaged skin. Then we spend years trying to repair it. As Mark Victor Hanson talked about in his audiotape “We spend our youth and health trying to obtain wealth and then when we are older we spend all our wealth just to obtain a little bit of health.” This applies to healthy skin and healthy bodies. Isn't it worth it to find health products that will keep you renewed and revitalized? Taking care of the skin is one of the most important beauty tips of the ages. Women spend a great deal of time applying foundation, blush, eye shadows and mascara. On average, they spend less than ¼ of the time working on the underlying root of their beauty, namely their skin. Good cleaning and maintaining moisture in the skin will make all the difference in the final appearance, more than any cosmetic can do. For great skin, give pine needle oil soap a try. Applying it once or twice a day, massage it into the skin for 10-20 seconds and see how much cleaner your skin will feel. Within days of trying it you will notice the moisture will be back in your skin. We've even seen people give up their moisturizer, after using pine soap a few weeks, because it was too much moisture!! If your skin is damaged after years of neglect, it may take several weeks to repair. Pine soap use will remove dead skin cells and bring impurities to the surface. Sometimes this even results in a few bumps or slight rash, but it generally lasts only a few days. Then, the pores will begin to shrink and new healthy skin will begin growing back. You will begin to radiate that healthy glow you desire. This page is intended for informational purposes only. The content herein is the product of research.
